A meeting was recently convened by the State Minister for the Environment with representatives of Georges River Council (staff and councillors) to which Brian Ralston (President) was invited to participate.
No resolution of the issue regarding the public acquisition of Glenlee was reached. However, the Minister and Council have agreed to undertake further investigations, following which a further meeting will be held. We are pleased that our association is at least being included in this process.
Sarah Fitzherbert has joined the Friends of Glenlee committee to fill the current vacancy. Printed leaflets about Glenlee have now been produced and it is planned to hand them out at Chivers Hill shops or at other places in Lugarno and surrounds.
