OFF has commenced a campaign to increase Federal Govt funding for Landcare, Greening Australia and like minded organisations. Letters have been written to Senators David Pocock and Jacqui Lambie (Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Australia’s Disaster Resilience) requesting their assistance. Members are asked to support this important campaign by also writing to the Federal politicians who care about our planet and the impact of climate change.
The Foreshore Scenic Protection Area (FSPA) is again under threat.
Glenlee Update – July 2022
A well attended rally on April 23 was followed with the good news that the DA has been withdrawn and more recently that the NSW Heritage Council has given notice that they intend to consider listing Glenlee on the State Heritage Register.
28 Jan 2022 – A 12 month Interim Heritage Order was gazetted by the Minister for Environment and Heritage which prevents any further development of the site. It allows for further investigations into Glenlee’s historical and Indigenous significance.
