July 27 2025 – National Tree Day and Bushcare Annual Tree Planting Event, Frogs Hollow, Oatley Park

OFF members are invited to join Bushcare’s Annual Tree Planting event at Frogs Hollow.

A massive effort by over 100 eager volunteers on Sunday 27 July at Frog Hollow, Lime Kiln Bay Reserve to celebrate National Tree Day!

Despite the cool weather, members of OFF and the wider community joined forces with BLIA Scouts Sydney, Georges River Council Bushcare staff, Councillor Peter Mahoney: and Councillor Matt Allison: to plant close to 1500 tubestock. These plantings will provide vital habitat for local fauna and contribute to the growth of our urban tree canopy.

A big thank you also to the Oatley Lions Club, who kept the volunteers well fed throughout the day!

It was also great to see so many residents attending the workshop and collecting free plants trees at the Mortdale Depot. What a fantastic community effort!

Photos of the day can be seen on the GRC Bushcare Facebook page.
