Some of OFF’s 2025 activities
OFF’s first meeting of the year was the Annual General Meeting, well attended by 35 members (incl 5 online). The past year’s extensive activities were reviewed by Secretary Robyn Stahel in a lively presentation and in his address, President Kim Wagstaff discussed OFF’s priorities for the next year.
Following the presentations, the 2025 committee stood down and returning offer, Phil Andersen, called for nominations for the 2026 committee, which was then elected.
President, Kim Wagstaff, stood down after 6 years in the role, but has not been replaced as there were no nominations. However, Kim will remain on the committee, so his valuable experience will not be lost to the committee and OFF. Sonia Baxant was re-elected as Vice-President, but Adrian Polhill stood down, with no nominations to replace him as VP. Robyn Stahel was re-elected Secretary, as was Rodger Robertson as Treasurer. Lesley Wylie also stood down from the Field Officer’s position. 8 other committee members were then elected. Members Maree Morgan and John Brady, then volunteered to join the committee, and will be appointed at the first committee meeting. Welcome Maree and John. Thanks to Kim, Adrian and Leslie for their valuable contributions.
The 2026 OFF Executive now consists of:
President: Vacant
Vice-Presidents: Sonia Baxant and vacant
Treasurer: Rodger Robertson
Secretary: Robyn Stahel
Additional officers: Graham Fry, James Deli, Brian Dale, Maree Morgan and John Brady
All committee details will be printed on the hard-copy program to be issued shortly. A full list of committee members can be found here.
Following the meeting, members were invited to gather in Oatley RSL for a convivial get-together.

PROMO
Our first Monday meeting for the year will be the Annual General Meeting. Hear reports about what OFF has been doing in the past year, and elect a new committee for 2026. Members are invited to nominate at the AGM. Due to resignations, there will be 4 committee positions vacant in the 2026 committee to be elected at the AGM. This is your chance to nominate and help steer the Society in its endeavours to preserve and improve our environment. Experienced members will lead the way so new members will have an opportunity to learn how the OFF committee operates.
One of the committee positions to be filled is that of President, as Kim Wagstaff is standing down. The AGM will be a chance to farewell KIm and thank him for his valuable contribution over the past 6 years. Kim will remain on the committee, so his experience will not be lost. At this stage, no-one has stepped forward to fill this vital position. Members are asked to consider volunteering. Please contact Kim (0437 791 988) if you would like to discuss any aspects of the role of OFF President or other committee positions.
The meeting will be held in Oatley Uniting Church at 7.30pm. Members are reminded that they can participate via ZOOM if they are unable to attend in person. For ZOOM Meeting Id and Password, please email oatleyff@gmail.com or use this link.
Following the meeting, attendees are invited to adjourn to the Oatley RSL for refreshments. A great time to socialise and catch up with like-minded people.
