On Monday 11 October 2021 the five Georges River Council’s Environment and Planning Committee members unanimously endorsed the adoption of the following amendment for the Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan 2021: That the General Manager investigate the inclusion of analysing and modelling the purchase of Glenlee through development contributions, other external and internal funding sources, and submit a separate report to Council. This is a hopeful step in saving Glenlee, but we now need all councillors to endorse this amendment at the next Council meeting Monday night 25 October 2021.
Friends of Glenlee are asking you to send an email by Sunday 24 October at the latest, to Georges River Council and our local state and federal MPs requesting further action and commitment to acquire and purchase Glenlee. Please write an email using resources below:
The conciliation conference has been moved from 22 October 2021 to 1 February 2022.
The Applicant’s notice of motion was heard before Justice Duggan of the Land and Environment Court on 19 October 2021. Her Honour ordered that the conciliation conference be vacated and relisted. Accordingly, the conciliation conference will not proceed on 22 October 2021 and will instead proceed on 1 February 2022. This conciliation conference will commence onsite at 9.30am.
